Premium Cues isn't just a family-run business — it's run by the family that has spent over three decades shaping the game of snooker in Scotland, on and off the table.
We were founded in 1989 with our first snooker and pool hall, and we've built premiumcues.co.uk on that same hands-on, playing-first expertise ever since. We promise every customer a first-class experience — from the moment you visit our site, through delivery, and right through to play. You're always welcome to visit our showroom to try a cue before you buy.

Our Team
Paul Marinello — Director & Founder
Paul has been involved in snooker for over 40 years — first as a player, then for more than 30 years as the owner of two of Edinburgh's best-known venues, the Locarno Snooker Club and Shandon Snooker & Pool Club. Since 2010, Paul has also served as Chairperson of Scottish Snooker, the sport's National Governing Body, helping lead the organisation into partnership with the World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association (WPBSA) and the World Snooker Federation. Every cue we stock is chosen with his four decades of hands-on experience behind it.
Anne Marinello — Secretary, Scottish Snooker & Operations
Anne is the driving force behind Premium Cues day-to-day, managing our admin, finances, and stock. She also serves as Secretary of Scottish Snooker, working alongside Paul at the governing-body level to support the sport's grassroots development across the country. Anne's son, Chris Totten, grew up around the game she's spent her career championing — and now plays it professionally, right here at Premium Cues.
Chris Totten — Cue Specialist & Professional Player
Chris's knowledge of snooker and pool cues is second to none for such a young player. A winner of multiple Scottish National Championships, he captained the Scottish Men's team to victory at the Home International Championships, and in 2017 — at just 18 — he became European Men's Champion, earning his place on the professional World Snooker Tour. Chris requalified through World Snooker's Q-School for the 24/25 and 25/26 seasons, and still works here daily, personally advising customers and helping fit the right cue for every level of player.
